When he was eight years old, Christian Zachariasen watched as an image appeared in a developing tray. He has been taking photographs ever since. Working day by day in black and white, he shoots whatever passes in front of his lens and wherever his walks lead him - to the end of a road or to the ends of the earth. Commercial neccessities - colour, advertising constraints - hardly cramp his style at all : he still sees himself as an amateur photographer pursuing his hobby. |
